Intensive Driving Courses

South Side Driving is able to provide all types of driving courses, ranging from weekly hourly lessons right up to Intensive and Semi-Intensive Driving Courses.

If you are planning to take an intensive or semi-intensive course, you should try and time your lessons so that you already have a test date booked. There is, on average, a two week waiting list to sit the theory test and a five week waiting list to sit the practical driving test. This is determined by the DSA and is nothing to do with South Side Driving.

There are two main options: do all the lessons intensively over the course of a week or two or alternatively, do a semi-intensive course in the weeks running up to the test. The semi-intensive course allows more time for the information that is taught in the lessons to be taken on board and as a result, is probably the better option of the two. The semi-intensive option may not fit in with people’s busy lives so both courses are offered at South Side Driving.

If you have any questions regarding any type of driving course, please don’t hesitate to contact South Side Driving.

Intensive Driving Course Terms and Conditions

The cost of the practical driving test is not covered in the intensive course prices quoted above.

If you would like, we can book your practical driving test for you – this costs an additional £62, which gets paid straight to DSA to cover the test fee.

You must have passed the DVSA Theory Test, and be able to present your Theory Certificate to your instructor.

A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to book your intensive driving course.

In all cases, the full balance must be paid no less than 1 week before the course starts.

To protect the test fee you have paid, your instructor will assess your chance of successfully passing your practical driving test one week before your test date. This allows you to postpone or reschedule your test at no cost, preserving your test fee and giving you the best chance of passing first time.

Please see our full terms and conditions page for more general terms and conditions.
